Title: Jessica Rabbit
Post by: Graham Lee on June 23, 2020, 10:55:38 AM
I just started to make the dress in Red and Jessica Rabbit sort of morphed from that.
The plan was to make two as I went along to try the different style faces and a variation on the dress.

I don't dislike the twisted face but can see the drawn on design would probably be the preferred choice.
The waist on the drawn face design was to large in version one here.

I then sorted out a smaller waist and then added artwork to just the one eye to start.
But it needed the other one added as well.

I liked the dress from one design and the body from the other design, typical really  ;D

I then added some voluptuous lips to one of the designs.

I went and saw some friends yesterday and ended up making Jessica again so thought perhaps
I need to refresh my memory and make a tutorial this weekend.

So a few variations made this morning, three I believe.

Version one, her hair was too much, I think we used five 160's. Looked a little Bouffont in style.

Version two, took away the double layer of hair.

Then this was version three, the hair flowed more over the face.

I drew the left eye on at the wrong angle....ooops.

So I spun her head around and drew again,
this time eyes too wide apart and mouth too high on face, double ooops.

I have a few pictures for Jessica Rabbit as I filmed a tutorial on Sunday for the design.
Trying out different artwork for Jessica.

The Jessica I made to show in the tutorial is picture 16.
I changed the position of the eyes to the centre as when she was looking to the side in previous pictures
one eye was higher than the other as the whites of the eye I had angled up towards the top of her head
and they looked wrong. Moving them to the centre she seemed to have a surprised look on her face.

Picture 17 is the Jessica I made during the tutorial, I made the white of the eyes more horizontal
for a nicer look. Did you notice the artwork is a little shaky and wonky as I did it live to the camera
and it was a worry. I'm not great at drawing the artwork but a little better than what I did live, he he.
I think this was my first time trying to do artwork live, it was not a success but you did see the
process and reason why I do things in certain ways.

I'm sure others will have way better artwork than myself.

I spun the head around and did the artwork again when I switched the camera off.
It worked out a little better  ;D
I also showed a hair variation, picture 19 when we re-filmed the artwork on the tutorial for completeness.
