I have always struggled with a quick basic lion and after making these two I think it's safe to say I still struggle.
They are meant to be sitting down and both are 2 balloons.
Lions are fab, but maybe it is 'cos my birthsign is Leo :D
This is the quick Lion I do, based on Twistina's design from her CD.
Since that pic was taken, I do it on a six petal base
I made these the other day after the first attempts.
And another one.
So carrying on with a lion, I still do not have one I like.
I made the large one yesterday at the Portsmouth jam and then the smaller one today with an idea
for the main coming from the sausage dog ears I made last month.
Still looking for a good lion for the real world.
And both together.
Most basic I have done for a Lions charity event (no body-just hand held) 2 balloons

recently learned from YouTube, thanks to Mr Sergey Loginov..
1 x yellow 260; half orange 260 + scrap for the nose..
I had a play with some lion's yesterday.
These balloons were just laying about so had a play with them.
A variation.

The blush and mocha one is fab Graham ;)
And all together, I made a few more yesterday so will get some pictures and post later.
Still playing with the lion design.
Goodness isn't it strange how something takes off that you are not expecting.
The likes and positive comments on the lion above have surprised me,
I made a variation last night but have still to take a picture so will post later.
Another variation made at the London jam this week.
I was not to keen on this one, it did not sit nicely for me.
Yes another variation.
This lion had no neck and looked down too much,
the face on picture looks OK but he is sitting on his bum and not standing up like the rest.
I changed about the mane a little from the one I thought looked the best.
If you look back picture 8 and 9, I changed the feet from black 160 to use the
260 blush. Trying to make it quicker for the real world.
I like them all Graham.

Lion 6 on the other page has three smaller 2 balloon lion designs.
Another Lion I made over the weekend.
I like the one at the top of this page the best, even though he is looking down. Could you tuck in part of the 160 on his back and tuck a little piece of his mane in the front part of his back to turn his head up? (hopefully that made sense). I like how full the mane is, and the looks of it on the face. I can't wait try to give that one a try early next week when I have some time.

He looks down like that Tonya for a very special reason, I forgot to give him a neck.
I think with that he would look OK, I will attempt to make him again but sometimes
I forget how the heck I put some of the designs together.

I have made two more lions, will post later as not taken pictures as yet.
One has a neck and the other an extra bubble between the muzzle section and head section.
Lion with neck.
This one has an extra bubble between the muzzle and main head structure.
I think that is one bubble too many, still I tried it.
Here is my version of your little lion, and one with a little different face. Thanks for sharing your designs Graham. :-)
I had another go at the lion the other day.
Having a play with another lion idea. Made it into a tiger as well.
The chocolate down the side of the mouth looked wrong so version two
and with a fuller body.
Playing with a lion design again.
Here are a few lions I have done over time. My fast lion is made using a heart for the head with two small bubbles twisted at the lobes of the heart and the nozzle of the balloon is connecting the body.
Well I meant to post more lions yesterday but my Grandson demanded my attention :)
