I was asked to make R2 for delivery this weekend. and though it was a bit of a manic week with everything else going on at the same time (Halloween) I couldn't really not try to squeeze it in. It's the first time I've really played with double stuffing for any length of time. All I can say is that it was different. More time consuming actually doing the stuffing, easier to handle without fear of breakages, but also harder to handle with the weave. There's a lot of little bits and pieces missing from the final design, but only for those like me that are sad enough to know  :) .

Thanks for all the comments so far, I think that it does make a difference double stuffing, but it may need someone more knowledgeable in this to give the full reasons why. I really wanted the darker silver that I got with doing this, and while I was that far just thought I'd carry on and do the rest like it. The only parts that weren't done this way were the few single silver balloons and the legs and feet. I can't t remember why but for some reason I seem to have forgotten to do it with them.
