Title: Rhino
Post by: Graham Lee on August 15, 2016, 01:30:53 PM
There have been a lot of Rhino's posted over the past few days on facebook
for the project Guido Verhoef has been organising so I thought I would make one as well.

It's not quite finished yet and I have been building the rhino slightly different to how I usually make my designs.

Hoping to finish it off later and then no doubt will post a couple of pictures

I made the rhino a little at a time. It was sitting here next to the computer
and I got thinking about the look before trying to see if the idea would work.

I normally twist away gun ho so to speak trying different things, this design had a little more thought.

I'm going to have a play with this design again today, I have already made the legs with a 350 balloon.

This is version two, the legs are from 350's, a few extra 160's for skin/body texture.
Still with the Ivory horns.

Good to see some rhinocerosses (good plural?)

Here is my usual design for a rhino.
(For those with a sharp eye, it's not a Rob Driscoll design; Rob uses some of my designs which is okay)

You know what Patrick I am pleased you said that, I used this head design back in 2013 for my 365 and forgotten where I had seen it so thank you for that, I will endeavour to tell people it is yours from now on :D Thank you

Hey Graham
Finally got time to finding the rhino you mentioned.... just wondered in the body is there a balloon that the other balloons are wrapped around?

Yes there is a balloon inside, I thought if you used all 160's some looser than others you might get the
effect for the dog you are looking for. As they say..........................only one way to find out.

We were making some rhino's for a film premiere this week,
what made it fun was I was twisting next to Crofty,
we have a laugh but also give each other room to play.

This was my old one balloon rhino, yes I know it takes two.

I made these yesterday as I was thinking of having the Rhino as the August
model of the month.

I went with the machine gun instead, http://balloonchat.co.uk/model-of-the-month/august-model-of-the-month-(machine-gun)/

Having another play, I was looking for the rounder look with these.
The head was too small for the body in the first pic so made a 646 head in pic three.

The head structure looks too big as well in pic two.
