I was booked for a wedding yesterday & it's been booked in for ages, during the week I was going through a dew DVD's/CD's that I've not looked at ever since I've bought them, some still have the plastic wrapper on & are over a year old. So I was looking at Bonnie's wearables CD as Roger who I saw on Tuesday at the face painting convention was raving about a very simple cobra hat that was quick & effective. It is very good & on wearables vol 1, so as I was looking I thought I'd put in Vol 2..wow.
So many good & usable models to choose from & a very nice sheep hat.
So on Thursday I get a call from the wedding to confirm everything & to inform me that half the guests are coming over from New Zealand & could I make something to make them feel at home.
Sometimes life is strange how things fall into place.
I made the sheep from the March model of the month;

& Bonnies ugly lamb hat. People were suitable impressed.

Although I have made a couple of changes the design is not mine,
they are on Bonnie's CD with about another 20 designs.
Which I highly recommend :D

Graham, great story! On one of the other balloon forums I belong to there is a topic about making the exact balloon design for just the exact person it needed to go to at the exact time it needed to go to that person.  I think this is one of those times for you as in that you saw a new design just when you needed it most. Pretty cool! ...  Although why you choose the ugly sheep hat over the cute lamb hat is beyond me.  Maybe it's a guy thing  ;)  :lol:

I really appeciate you giving me credit for the orginal design (and for the plug  :oops: ) but I must say that you changed the design enough to call it your own and I wouldn't mind seeing you post the instructions if you found the time in your busy schedule to do so.  I think seeing a design "inspired by" is just as flattering as knowing that people actaully use some of my designs.   :)

And Roger, thank you for the rave!  :oops:

I think it looks cool anyway.  And sometimes not cute is more fun than cute.  You can do loads of personality with a non cute face.

When they had the offical pictures being taken at the wedding lots of them were wearing the hats, the photographer said they would be on the site about 7/10 days so will keep an eye out to post a link.

As the owner of a non-cute face that is a great comfort  :D
