Website "Chat" Help / Website Sales Spiel
September 14, 2009, 08:20:41 PM
I often spend my time at work re-writing product descriptions and sales messages for our website, and understand how difficult some people find this.

As such i was playing with some wording after looking at YvonneH's website and thought i would post it on here for peoples consideration.

Balloon Modelling is ideal entertainment for children of all ages* see their faces light up as our experienced twisters convert shapeless latex into models and sculptures as vibrant in colour as your child's own imagination; watch amazed as your child becomes a pirate, a princess, or the keeper of their very own balloon pet right before your very eyes.

Please note, children are very accustomed to seeing balloon swords, and other balloon weapons, but here at (Company Name) we understand that some parents consider these to be inappropriate. As such, if you would prefer these models were not made at your event we are happy to oblige.

*(Company Name) are interested in your child's safety at all times, and therefore advise that balloon models are not handed to children under 2 years of age. For these children (Company Name) are happy to supply (insert whatever here).

Any ideas or suggestions welcome, this isnt for any particular purpose or website, but might give some people ideas.

Off Topic.......... plus Hidden Talents / Ball Pit Balls
September 13, 2008, 10:07:25 AM
Hi, im hoping someone on here can give me some help, or maybe anyone with contacts in the bouncy castle industry would be kind enough to share contact details.

i have been set the challenge of sourcing 600 of the round hollow plastic balls you see in ball pits and bouncy castles.

BUT

They cannot be assorted mixes, they must be 3 seperate colours, 200 of each.

Any ideas?

I realise toys r us, asda, argos, tesco etc all have these in clearance but i can only find assorted bags.

Off Topic.......... plus Hidden Talents / T-Myers
September 03, 2008, 10:40:52 PM
Hi guys, sorry for the short posts and lack thereof. im not having much luck with keyboards, and usb devices recently.

But too the topic at hand.

I've never bought internationally before and have been looking at T-Myers, they appear to have the greatest range i've found, and if their site is accurate the greatest stock holding.

So has anyone in the UK used them? What are they like? What are their shipping charges like? Delivery times? Customer Service etc?

I am about to contact them with regards to placing a large order, and would like to hear peoples expriences before i go through with it.

July 25, 2008, 08:37:46 PM
My local woolworths have a 12 pack of assorted sharpies reduced in the back to school sales. Reduced from £10 to £5.
would assume all stores should have this offer.

Balloon Chit Chat / Adding Details
July 02, 2008, 10:23:46 PM
Simple question really.

What do you use to add details to your balloons?

Ive seen people that use balloon scraps, stickers, pens etc but what do you recommend and why?

Another question, its been suggested to move from permenant markers to paint pens, as they do not turn wet again when the balloon deflates, is this really the case?

If this is the case, i then wonder if i used a white paint pen, and draw over it with a permenant marker, does it stay dry when the balloon deflates?

Im hoping some of you guys have tried this yourselves over the years, instead of buying pens, stickers, etc and finding they arent right for me or general use.

Any suggestions?

Welcome / Hi All
July 02, 2008, 09:34:27 PM
Hi all, my name is Pete, i have been reading and watching posts on here for a few days, and finally decided to sign up.

I have been modelling now for about 18 months, and have learnt what i consider to be a fair amount in a short time, but i am still unsure if im ready to move from amateur home modeller, to a professional earning from my skills.

In the mean time, i thought i would spend some time with you guys (and girls obviously), and see if i can find a spot in your world that suits me.

Talk to you all soon!
