Hi, Graham!!!!!!  :lol:  I never hardly ever post so just saying hi to my dear friend. Even though I don't come around much, I still appreciate all the hard work Graham has put into this site over the years. Definitely a labor of love. And a great resource to balloon artists around the world!

I realize this is going to be a very mundane subject to some, but I am thrilled to report that I have found the perfect bandage (as we call them in the states) that sticks on to my fingers through all the twisting I do on a regular basis. In our climate, I often get splits in my skin which are very painful and only get worse the more I work. I have finally discovered (after many years of looking) a bandage/plaster that works! It is Band-Aid brand DRY-FIT Fabric--you have to make sure it says that exactly--the regular fabric ones aren't the same. The only place I have found them individually is Target (they even sell them online) although I first found them in a combo pack I got at Costco. The fabric is very thin but durable and even though I rub on it constantly while working, they stay on. It is like having a second skin. I am hoping someone finds this as awesome as me--no more sore fingers!   Let me know if you try them. Be sure they say DRY-FIT--the regular fabric ones aren't the same.

OK, I figured for my first post of a complex balloon I did, I would put on this hedgehog I made for a boy's birthday. I usually make something special for the birthday child before I go, in case it gets too crazy with too many kids (more often than not...) and I worked on this for quite a while. I think the full figure turned out well. I made the mask just to show the mom what I meant when she couldn't find the character to appear at the party (she ended up getting a different character instead).  Anyway, hope you like it! You guys do have this video game character in your area, right?

Hello, all! Janet Lenox, from across the pond here. So far, in fact, that I live in the desert. It has been my extreme misfortune...I mean, pleasure, yes, that's it, pleasure to meet Graham Lee at a couple of different conventions. He finally convinced me to join the boards here and I can see at first glance that it looks like a fun place to be. I am especially interested in the balloon of the month challenge. I will do my best to check in once in while. I am pretty busy: mom to a 9-year-old, running my business, and very active PTA member. I love our work---what could be better!?! Thank you for having me.
