Hey guys,

If anyone is driving to Birmingham and can pick me up from islington can you let me know ASAP please? I won't be able to stay over in Birmingham as I have to get back for my baby so will be travelling home on the 1st and heading back out again on the 2nd.

A lift on either 1 or both days either 1 or both ways much appreciated.

Thanks Graham. I have joined the BAG for this year starting April. Unfortunately I can't make Leeds which I know isn't included in the membership but was just wondering how I can pay to have the DVD sent to me if that's possible.

Hi ya, just wondering if anyone has or is willing to post a tutorial to make Dusty from Disney's Planes? I have been asked to make some balloon bouquets for a little boys 5th birthday and would love to add some twisted pieces to the bases of my bouquets as a surprise for the birthday boy. Thanks in advance xx

Thanks guys, I do decor, bouquets, stuffed balloons etc but havent really started twisting yet so not really a balloon modelling shop and I do also provide party supplies and make cakes. I have a facebook page with nearly 400 likers but just keep getting told that people buy what they see and can't get an idea of proper scale and perceived value if its not in front of them. There are no shopping centres in my immediate area and there are already people selling balloons in the local indoor markets etc at an even lower cost than I do. The difference is I'm trained and they're not. I get 2-3 orders per month which as you can imagine does not tide me over. There is a balloon shop in the neighbouring borough run by a CBA that does very well. have tried speaking to her but shes not all that happy that another trained balloon artist is working close to her. I am constantly posting pics and updating status on my page. Leave and give out business cards all over the place. Just don't know what else to do. Thanks for all your help though and I will meet you on the 21st if you're there. Xx

Balloon Chit Chat / Advice on setting up shop please?
January 06, 2014, 01:32:08 AM
Hi ya, I started balloons around 10 months ago from home and would very much like to set up a retail unit this year. My question is where do I start? I have seen a premises that I'm interested in and that's about it. I don't have any capital behind me having been a single mum on benefits for a long time. I've never run my own business before and all I've been doing has been for friends and acquaintances at a low cost so not making much profit and not many orders. I have completed 3 of the 7 qualatex courses and am purchasing my qbn kit in a couple of weeks. I'm a real newbie to all of this and it scares the hell out of me. Any advice much appreciated. Btw Graham I will hopefully be attending your care n share on the 21st of this month so prepare to have your brains picked. Lol.

Balloony thanks,

Natasha. Xx

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Balloon twisting classes
August 31, 2013, 11:59:09 PM
Hi ya, I only started twisting 2 days ago and have managed to teach my son and my sister (both 9 years old) how to make a dog and both got it within 5 mins. I just showed them from the instructions in the balloon magic books and they picked it up really easily. I think you'll find it a doddle. Good luck :) x

They are free to subscribe to the current & future issues but back issues are £2 each. No idea why. X

Not all of them & are charging £2 per issue. I wanted to see if anyone was looking to get rid of theirs for a better price first and then get the ones that were missing from qua latex. Thanks for suggesting. Xxx
