I went up to the magic circle tonight as they had the Young Magicians club entertaining with a show. The members ranged from 10/18 and they had 3 people doing close up, 2 parlour and 3 a stage show.
What a great night and they were all very skilful with stage presence for such a young age, well worth the trip up to London.

Coming up in Vegas from August 8/12th is Balloon camp and diamond jam with the fantastic balloon fashion show. Dave Scott spends a lot of time organising and making sure the event runs as smoothly as possible. I changed the size of balloon on the head of this one to a 260, the one posted in the competition section was a 160. I also put a pinch twist between the two beak bubbles to give a more V shape to it.
You can also see where to sit in the body for it to be a rideable, working in a shopping center next week so will see if I can make it and post some pictures, it could be fun.

I have sorted out the date etc for the party day as 30th June and have been informed England are not playing in the world cup on that day.
I have put the day at £15 which will include a buffet lunch and a mystery lecturer, I'm hoping to get someone in from Europe.

Einer from Extreme balloons in Denmark sent me this picture and a small video clip that as yet I've not been able to put a link to on the dinosaur that they made, the email reads;

Hallo Graham.
We used 1800 balloons Sempertex :-)
We were 2 people and we used 30 hours together.
We did the project to commercial for our buisness i Denmark, we are the only
2 there make thise things in this size :-) At the end Sunday, the children get a fork and some ear props and it took
2,5 minutes to kill it.
It was 13,2 Meters long.

These are from a set of five that appeared about 4 years ago, will see if I can find the missing one later.
The jewellery was very expensive as there were approx 12 security guards on site and one of the rings was worth over a million pounds all on it's own and there I was double stuffing it inside a clear 260 balloon although that shot never made it into the magazine.
I really like these pictures, the photographer was excellent, the pictures not being touched up or edited in any way and the jewellery worth millions being supported by a latex balloon that costs pennies. I enjoyed this shoot very much.

I'm updating my website and wanted to have a sperate link onto the forum for some of my picture gallery.
This appeared in the magazine about five years ago.

The domain name balloonchat.com was to run out tomorow and for the last eight weeks I have been trying most unsuccesfully to renew it. Problems started when another company domainrenewalgroup.com sent me a reminder who I assumed were the company I was registerd with as I bought the name via a third party but were actually trying to take the business so I wasted a few weeks persuing that until I realised my blunder. Then the company I bought the name from never returned emails and there website interactivenams.com went down, I then recieve a renewel notice from another company, champdonaims.com saying I can renew through there website but am unable to log on and no one returns emails to me. All the time the whois says that I own the website name via e-nom and when I ring them in America they say it's registeed through the third party company interactivenames.com who we have now discovered went out of business, so after another five calls to e-nom in America they accept there is a problem with this company and renewed the site name for me at 18.52 tonight.
Although the main site is .co.uk it's still nice to have both sites, so that's the saga/nightmare that has been going on a while but hankfully is now all sorted out............I hope!

So after having to postpone the Levet & Lee day and as I'm a sucker for punishment I've decided to run a party day either in September or June. The problem with September is that there is also two magic conventions so people may be pre occupied with booking time off for these instead of the balloon day.
So I have now made an instant decision, it will be in June, will check for dates asap. Looking to only charge £5 to attend which will cover a buffet lunch and we will hold it back in Birmingham again as this hopefully is more cental to everyone. The theme for the day will be "Celebrating the Art Of Balloon Modelling"
I hope as many as possible can make it, I'm off to work out the best date for this.

The new 6ft balloons arrived today, just going to put them back on the website for those that were waiting for them.

I ordered a new pump from McPump, I think it's the mini mac light but will check. First thoughts are it's taller than Mr Filbert so may be better for me as I'm on the tall side, a lot heavier and sturdy and the strap is a bonus for when getting about with it.
