This game I have been making for a while, this was not on the video instructions but I used the ball technique to make the jumping bean, I made the ball from two 260 balloons to add weight so that the bean moved along the parallel rails. You could just buy a super ball and insert inside the balloon but I prefer the all latex look, the ball in the picture was made from a clear balloon and each balloon will add approx 30/40 layers to the ball making it very heavy. In the picture I put the ball inside a clear balloon so it could be seen more easily. The problem I found with the rails is that they separate in the middle, you need these to be as long as possible so the bean has more room to travel from end to end but then the middle section separates and the bean will fall through. To over come this I tie a 260 un-inflated around the centre in a figure of eight motion as you need the centre gully to remain on the rails so just tying a 260 around both balloons would not accomplish this, not sure if that is explained to well but hopefully the picture tells a thousand words.

I made Simba as per the video instructions and changed the look with a smaller nose bubble and two pinch twists instead of a neck bubble, looks more dog/bearish to me.

Number 5, so already a little behind as we are in week 8 of the year.
This is Vol two from Lil John, aka Todd Watson and was recorded in 1996. On the tape are explained an Energiser Rabbit, Simba, Bike, Aeroplane all made from one balloon.
Then he goes onto explaining about a ball made from a 260 which is used in a variety of different applications from the balloon racing game and perpetual motion?

I liked the look of the one balloon plane, picture one but as it has two pop twists so ending up with 4 unprotected ear twists that I'm sure would come undone.
I have cut off a 4 finger section of the balloon and left the pop bubble in between the wheels so making it a fully locked in sculpture, but I do prefer the look of the original, the wheels especially look more authentic.

Someone has asked about a joint membership for husband/wife or partner, so was thinking that £169 seems a fair price?

Yes someone else did tell me about this, I'm guessing it's the same thing. Me being Mr Innocent had no idea though.

While in Blackpool we found an excellent little diner with a fantastic deal of £10 for a two course meal or £13 for the three course meal.
It was such a lovely place with helpful happy staff that I promised to give them a plug on the forum, details are;

JK's Steakhouse & Cafe Bar
14 BirleyStreet
Blackpool
FY1 1DU
01253-290464
http://www.jkssteakhouse.com

They also do a posh menu as well.
Here are some reviews on the place; http://www.sugarvine.com/fylde/reviews/ ... Steakhouse
Looks like the website is down at the moment.

Back to naming the club, oh no not that again!!
I have been thinking about, The Balloon Artistes Guild. It sounds fairly posh and maybe have an air of authority for joe public and members can advertise they are members of the balloon artistes guild. The name will hopefully be looked upon favourably by both twisters and decorators and the initials spell out T. BAG which when I go abroad is mentioned quite a lot that we in the UK drink a lot of tea.
So any thoughts on this are appreciated before we have the official naming ceremony of the club.

It has just been confirmed today that there will be a price increase coming when the new order of Sempertex balloons make it to the UK.
Some product will be going up by as much as 35% and we anticipate making changes to the site around the middle of March.

You would have to be there all day for 6/8 hours to stand any chance of just breaking even.

Can you not add it to your tag line member number 6.
Martin gave me details about looking for someone to update the forum, http://www.peopleperhour.com/
I have put details up about what I would like added onto the forum and they will get back with a price so perhaps I can mention this to them to see if it is doable.
