Hi
Has anyone done a large balloon sport car scuplture. I can't seem to find any examples of any on the web. Will have to wing it from my sons hotwheel cars models... Anyone done one here. Much appreciated with any tips.
Ta June
Thelma did a Pink cadi that looked a little like the Lady Penelope Thunderbird car, I think it's posted here some where.
Found it, it took me five search's, car-t4110.html?hilit=thelma (http://balloonchat.co.uk/car-t4110.html?hilit=thelma) car
Or is this a starting point for you?
Thanks Graham. This is great! it gives me tips on how to connect the body of the car. Very nice work Thelma!
Asked by a wife who's hubby is turning 40 to do a red sports car, for his mid life crisis. :P
Why not make the racing car.
That is spectacular... unfortunately I'm quite not up there in talent to do that. :(
You could try this simpler version - this is not my creation.

That is nice and very usable.
Thanks Lynnae. Thats Cool too. I havent had a chance to do any practice cars yet... must soon it for this weekend.
If it helps, instructions for the F1 car that Graham showed was in a padt issue of Balloon Magic.
I think a similar design is also on a DVD by David Grist Vol 9
Ok. Who do I purchase of either of them in the next couple of days....
I carry David's DVD's but they will not get to you in a couple of days from the UK.
Maybe I should invest in some dvd for the future. Do you recommend D Grist ones? I like to do large sculptures but not the massive ones. Which is the website for you. Ta

Thanks Graham. Will definitely be getting some instructions for big sculptures. I did in the meantime attempt a car and this is the best I can do for now. Hope the client likes it. My son does.
Looks good to me :)
Looks great! Well done!
June you did a fabulous job! You definately underestimate your abilities!!

Awh thanks everyone. If you looked at it the balloons bubbles are uneven.. hehe. Looks better on photo!
Fabulous car! How long did it take you?
Thanks Sonia. Took me soooo long. Probably a good 3 hours as I was trying to work out the weave. I started the night before till late and then got up early in the morning to finish off. Its hard to put something down once you start it.
Hi junkos
Look it..... and tell me is this helpful for you or not...
we once made the F1 car, its took several hours for two of us, not ideal for line work!! :P

Have you a picture you could post of it?
Not a sports car, but an idea of a wearable vehicle.... my son wanted to be a garbage truck for community helper day.

This is my beach buggy.
Instructions are on BHQ Columns. Search under Ian Lowe.
I had to work for a parking lot company so a car would be suitable:
