Hi, thanks for letting me join! I know this is a UK blog but I enjoyed it so much that I just had to join. I have been twisting since I was about 12 years old, on and off, after I saw a program at my local library summer reading program (my mother has driven the bookmobile there for over 10 years, so as a child I was always there in the summer either at the program or lending a hand with it). The gentleman and his wife were so nice and could see they had really sparked a interest with me that they stayed afterward for about a an hour after all the other children had left and continued to show me one and one some more advanced animals, hats, and twisting techniques until my mother got off work. I was hooked. I've always had a infatuation with balloons since I was very young, and when I first saw a twisted one, I was in awe. It wasn't till I was about a month ago that I started using actual quality balloons (Qualatex) and searching pintrest, twitter, and youtube for more intricate designs. I seems to be spending every spare minute either looking at pictures for something to try or watching a video. I hope to within the next two years save up to go to a convention somewhere. I've tried finding other twisters locally to hang out with but there doesn't seem to be any that want to. I've told them I'm not a professional and am not interested in stealing their designs or anything, just like to hang with someone who shares the same passion, but still get a response that I would need to pay for their time. I have very bad anxiety and honestly hardly ever leave the house except with my husband or family sometimes. Friends usually come visit me, and I give away my creations to their children who LOVE them and get such enjoyment out of them which is fine by me because it actually helps with my anxiety and calms me down most of the time to make them. Anyways, there's a bit about me. Thanks so much for letting me join and be friends with all of you twisters and enjoy all of your work!

Welcome along to the forum, I enjoyed reading your little intro and how you got the balloon bug like the rest of us.
Enjoy the forum, there are a lot of broken links as the server moved 5/6 weeks ago and we are still struggling to get the site all synced up.

Thank you for the welcome! Yea, I was wondering and getting a bit bummed out when most of pics I go to see have broken links so I'll just sit tight for a bit. I like the telephone in your picture!

Hi MeeBoo,
not sure you have tried all the links in this forum. As there are too many things to view, you may wish to look at the latest posts first, then slowly explore the rest.. the "view new posts" at the upper right corner will show you the latest posts.
why do I tell you this ? because I 'discovered' this link  only 1 or 2 years after I joined as a member....

No shame nklaw, I was on here for about 3 hours poking around while the rest of you were sleeping over there across the sea  ;)  Honestly, I'm usually the one everywhere irl that misses something for 2-3 years but surprisingly unanswered posts was the first thing I saw. It took me about a hour to find out how to get to my User CP though, which was only right about it
